Call for Submissions: ISPIM Connects Fukuoka (Solving Challenges Through Innovation)

Fukuoka is positioning itself as the innovation capital of Japan and is the fastest growing city in Japan outside the capital region. The city's young Mayor, Soichiro Takashima, wants to transform the ancient harbour city into Japan’s answer to Seattle.

With this ambitious local backdrop, ISPIM Connects Fukuoka addresses three critical challenges that are also of global importance:

- How can we deal with ageing populations?
- How should we transition our production and use of energy?
- How do we build successful start-up ecosystems?

Crucially, ISPIM Connects Fukuoka will shed light on how these challenges can be tackled through innovation and present what the field of innovation management has to offer such challenges.

Each of the three event challenges benefits from concerted and dedicated efforts to ensure progress. Which methods, incentives, models, skills, instruments and (digital) tools are effective? How can we develop new products, services, policies and organisations that enable us to benefit from the challenges?

Submissions from academic, research, consulting, industry, intermediary and policy organisations are encouraged to focus on these main issues as well as:

- Achieving Blue Growth (managed by The Association of International Seafood Professionals - AISP)
- Collaboration, networks & open innovation
- Digital Disruption & innovation
- Managing, designing & measuring innovation
- Policies for innovation
- Social, sustainable & responsible innovation
- Strategy & business models for innovation
- Training, teaching & coaching innovation
plus miscellaneous submissions on other relevant topics
